When looking for airport parking for your next holiday, we highly recommend booking directly with the airport you're flying from, rather than using a 'meet and greet' service from a third party, unless it's through someone you can trust like Holiday Extras. All official on-site parking is secure, close to the main terminals and competitively priced too. It also means your car will be exactly where you left it.

Did you know that airport parking prices often change depending on the time of day or day of the week? We usually find that the earlier you book it before heading off for your holiday, the better price you'll get. You'll typically find that airport parking prices are lower in the morning compared to the afternoon in many cases.

Aberdeen Airport

When booking parking at Aberdeen Airport, you'll have the option of choosing Priority Parking, which not only gets you as close as possible to their airport itself, it gets you priority security for your whole party too. If your plans change, you can amend your booking up to 24 hours before you fly.

Belfast International Airport

You can pre-book your parking at Belfast International Airport up to 6 months before your holiday to get the best price but if you're going last minute, you can do this up to 4 hours before you arrive. You'll be able to cancel your booking up to 24 hours before it's due to start. It's best to book extra parking time as a buffer, just in case your flight is delayed - that should save you paying 'on the gate' prices when you go to leave the car park.

Birmingham Airport

We'll give you the best thing first - a discount code! Use the code BHXParking5 on the official Birmingham Airport Parking page to get 5% off most bookings of 4+ days. The airport offers charging for electric vehicles and do the best savings (of up to 70%) the earlier you book.

Bournemouth Airport

Left things to the last minute? You can book up to 2 hours before arrival, but you'll get a better price if you book early. Splash out on Premium Parking to be just 1-3 minutes' walk to the Departures terminal and you'll get a wider space too. Or you can choose their cheaper parking to be 10 minutes' away.

Bristol Airport

When you choose the official on-site parking, you can be as little as a 2-3 minute walk from the terminal and be comfortable that you got the best price by booking directly with the airport. Depending on availability, you can book up to 3 hours before you arrive. If you'd like a 10% discount, you can sign up to the airport's Rewards scheme for free on their website. They only have 10 electric car charging points though.

Cardiff Airport

You'll have a number of options when parking at Cardiff Airport, including Premium Parking where you get to park as close to the terminal as possible and have a larger space too. Even their long stay is a good option. You'll save a lot by pre-booking, as online you might pay £75 for 14 days' parking, but at the gate it's £145.

East Midlands Airport

Feel safe leaving your car, knowing that East Midlands Airport has a 'Park Mark safe' rating. If you want to save money, their JetParks car park is the best (cheapest) option, but it does have a 10-15 minute shuttle bus transfer time. While it's 20% more, the Mid Stay car park is walking distance from the terminal so might be a better option. The Long Stay and JetParks options are closed during winter. You can sign up to their newsletter for free to get up to 25% off your parking.

Edinburgh Airport

The best thing about parking at Edinburgh? They'll let you into the car park up to 2 hours before your official booking starts. Even their long-stay parking is only a 6-8 minute walk to the terminal. Pre-booking can be up to 6x cheaper than paying upon arrival.

Exeter Airport

If you book their 'Car Park P1' you'll be just 50 yards from check-in and only a 1 minute walk. Car Park P3 is a bit further away and will save you 40% compared to the closest one, but we think it's worth the extra money to be so close to the terminal!

Glasgow Airport

The official parking is the closest you can get to the terminal and if your plans change, you can amend your booking up to 24 hours before you arrive. Pick the Short Stay or Fast Track parking and you'll only be a 2 minute walk from the terminal.

Leeds Bradford Airport

The best value for money with a short walk to the terminal are the Mid Stay or Mid Stay 2 car parks. They're around a 6 minute walk but much cheaper than splashing out on Meet and Greet which is the same distance away. If you're a bit delayed flying back, they offer a small grace period for free too.

Liverpool Airport

By pre-booking your parking, you'll save up to 70% compared to driving up on the day. You won't need to hand your keys to anyone so your car will be where you left it when you get back. Even their Long Stay car park is only a 5 minute walk to the terminal.

London City Airport

If you're planning to park at London City Airport's official parking, they offer number plate recognition on entry and exit so you won't need to worry about where you've put the parking ticket. You can save up to 78% if you book up to a year in advance. Motorcycles and pushbikes get free parking.

London Gatwick Airport

Gatwick say you can't park any closer to the terminals than with their official airport parking. Our top tip is to sign up to their myGatwick loyalty programme which will give you 10% discount. If you do this early enough, they sometimes email through up to 30% discount.

London Heathrow Airport

Heathrow's official parking gives you 24/7 security, free cancellations up to 2 hours before arrival and they offer free parking for motorcycles too. They run shuttle buses every 10-15 minutes to the terminal doors. Heathrow's fully electric Pod Parking takes just 5 minutes to get to or from Terminal 5.

London Luton Airport

Luton Airport's parking is Park Mark® Safer Parking certified and you'll be able to save up to 70% by pre-booking in advance. They have allocated Blue Badge spaces in all car parks and it's only a 10 minute shuttle bus ride to the terminal.

London Southend Airport

Each of their official car parks are just a few minutes' walk from the airport and you don't need to worry about shuttle buses. You'll get the best price if you pre-book, but you can also turn up and park for a higher price. If your flight is delayed, London Southend Airport offer a free 4-hour grace period before charging you extra.

London Stansted Airport

With their official parking, you'll be able to pre-book and yet still have the option of cancelling without any penalties, up to 1 hour before you're due to arrive. All their car parks are Park Mark safe and if you're feeling fancy, you can park just 1-2 minutes' walk from the terminal in their Short Stay car park.

Manchester Airport

The airport's parking offering is very flexible, meaning you can cancel or amend your booking up to 1 hour before arrival without any charge. If you do need to cancel, you'll get a direct refund; no vouchers or credit notes needed. The best value parking is JetParks, which is a 5-10 minute shuttle ride from the terminals.

Newcastle Airport

All of the airport's car parks are within walking distance of the terminal with up to 10 minutes' walk, but if you'd prefer to be nearer, we recommend choosing Premium Fast Track. You'll only be a 1 minute walk away and get an extra wide space a stone's throw from the terminal.

Newquay Airport

We recommend booking the East car park, which is very close to the terminal with just a few minutes' walk. You can book your parking up to 24 hours before you need it and you'll get up to 30% off when booking 4 or more days. Bookings are only chargeable up to 13 days, then any more after that are free.

Norwich Airport

As their Long Stay car park is only a 5 minute walk from the terminal, we recommend booking that over the more expensive Premium Short Stay car park. Whichever car park you book, you'll save up to 60% on the 'pay at the gate' prices by pre-booking online more than 24 hours (and up to 6 months) in advance. If your flight is delayed, it's best to call the airport on 01603 361303 to let them know, in case there are any overstay charges.

Southampton Airport

The main benefit of booking directly with the airport is that you can't park any closer, so it's only a short walk to the terminal. If your plans change, you can amend your booking up to 24 hours before you're due to arrive and the barriers are automatic, so you won't need to worry about booking reference numbers upon arrival.
